Why are we afraid of them?

Do you know what happens after we die? No one actually knows. But few say that the soul escapes the body after death and the soul HAUNTS people until it finds eternity. That soul is called ghost. Scary, isn't it? But as ghosts are invisible, they can easily escape after stealing a jam bottle from a supermarket. Or can easily escape the crime scene after murdering someone. The scariest thing is that many have actually witnessed ghosts and some have claimed that the ghosts have also touched them! Maybe the Annabelle story was true after all....

Ahem! Ok. Had enough of that. Now jumping back to the topic, I think we should first start by busting some myths.

 

Myth 1: Ouija Boards 

Have you heard about Ouija boards? It is actually a mix of ‘Oui’ and ‘Ja’ with mean ‘yes’ in French and German. What happens in the board? It is board of letters, numbers and other signs in the board where some upturned glasses are kept. Few questions are asked and it is believed that poltergeist answer the questions. Weird, right? But what actually happens is that the player himself/herself push the glass unintentionally due to ideomotor reflex. It is not the poltergeist. Also, if you ask about the special lighting effects, it is the host who does the trick, not a mischievous poltergeist. 

 

Myth 2: Taking to the dead

Taking to the dead. Ha! This is a hilarious one. They claim that they can ‘speak’ to the spirts. If you listen the words of the speaker properly, then you would get that the speaker is usually a liar. An example would do it nicely:

Speaker: Is anyone there? Ah yes! There is a spirit called Tom.

Listener: I don’t know if father was called Tom before when he was a child because his real name was George....

Speaker: Yes, yes. George. Would you like to speak to your son?

Listener: Please father! Speak to me!

 

See. The listener actually believed the speaker even when the speaker guessed the name wrong. Better be cautious or else these guys would pinch your money by playing with your emotions. 

 

Now, shall we come to the scientific facts so that you could be fearless of ghosts?

Let’s now tackle the claims of people seeing ghosts.

Now, some people claim to have seen ghosts just to enter the media world or to get popularised. But there are some cases where the people actually claim to have seen the ghosts for real. For understanding this, you need to read the following:

In most of the ‘haunted’ houses, if you observe, would have broken electric wires. This leakage of electricity initiates a electromagnetic waves. If you wake into these certain places of the house where electromagnetic waves are at its peak, people tend to hallucinate. Yeah, it’s just the dodgy electricity. There is no ghost lurking there to eat us. 

One more possibility because of which we ‘see’ ghosts is due to infrasound. It makes your eyeballs vibrate and make you see floating images. So, the ghosts sighting is increasing due to increase in windmills. Yeah guys. Renewable energy is not all good. But it is the cleanest energy we have, so promote it.
