RUBIK'S CUBE. TRICKS TO SOLVE IT FASTER.

Image
Rubik’s cube is one of the most famous puzzles in which people try competing each other for whom would solve the Rubik’s Cube faster. The world record of solving Rubik’s Cube fastest is currently held by Yusheng Du, who solved the 3 X 3 Rubik’s cube in just 3.47 seconds. Here are my few tips for anyone who wants to solve the Rubik’s Cube faster than he/she normally would.  1. Learn the steps using Algorithms. Instead of learning the sequence of moves, most of the cubers try to learn the moves by a sequence of letters called algorithms. An Algorithm, in terms of Rubik’s Cube, is an operation on the puzzle which reorients its pieces in a certain way. To describe operations on the Rubik's Cube we use the notation: we mark every face of the puzzle with a letter. Here are those symbols and their meanings: • F (Front): the side currently facing the solver • B (Back): the side opposite the front • U (Up): the side above or on top of the front side • D (Down): the side opposite the top,

PHOBIA SERIES - SPOTLIGHT.

Image
Spotlight: Why are we afraid of it? Spotlight. Oh god. Those moments of anyone’s life are really scary. What would happen if we misspell ‘fish’ as ‘piss’ or ‘water’ as ‘gutter’? What if you were suddenly pushed into the stage and were excepted to speak? Of course, you would start imitating a goldfish. What would happen to our name? It would be mixed into the mud. Or worse. It is a matter of prestige, you know.  Scientific facts and ways not to be Glossophobic: Okay Okay. Glossophobic is really common among humans. At least 7 to 8 students in a class suffer from Glossophobia. But why are we scared of speaking in public? The reason is simple. Have you ever tried to stare anyone with perfect eye-contact without blinking? After few seconds, you might start feeling uneasy and would look somewhere else. Now imagine hundreds and thousands of pairs of eyes staring at you? Not afraid? Well, you must not be a glossophobic then.... Except from this eye-contact-theory, we are also afraid if we wou

FEW USUALLY-NOT-KNOWN MYTHICAL MONSTERS.

Some usually-not-known mythical monsters:   1. Kappa - In Japan, some people believe that there is a monster called Kappa. They describe this monster as a cross  between a frog, turtle and a monkey. It’s about the height of a child and walks on the land with its webbed feet. Strangely, they claim that this monster has a dent on its head which is filled with water. This is considered as the power-giving substance for Kappa. Kappa is known for eating people and kidnapping children. The best way to defeat Kappa, as they say, is to bow at it. Even if Kappa are really dangerous, they are very polite and will bow back to you. Then the power-giving liquid would splash down and then it would be easy to defeat this monster. With this I can say that Kappa is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.....   2. The Ahool - Locals from Indonesia claim that a monster which looks like a monkey, has a 5m gargantuan bat-like wings who swoops and catch fishes with its claw-like hands. I don’t know what IS

PHOBIA SERIES - GHOSTS

Image
Ghosts:   Why are we afraid of them? Do you know what happens after we die? No one actually knows. But few say that the soul escapes the body after death and the soul HAUNTS people until it finds eternity. That soul is called ghost. Scary, isn't it? But as ghosts are invisible, they can easily escape after stealing a jam bottle from a supermarket. Or can easily escape the crime scene after murdering someone. The scariest thing is that many have actually witnessed ghosts and some have claimed that the ghosts have also touched them! Maybe the Annabelle story was true after all....   Scientific facts and ways not to be Phasmophobic:  oooooo! OOOOOOO! Ahem! Ok. Had enough of that. Now jumping back to the topic, I think we should first start by busting some myths.   Myth 1: Ouija Boards  Have you heard about Ouija boards? It is actually a mix of ‘Oui’ and ‘Ja’ with mean ‘yes’ in French and German. What happens in the board? It is board of letters, numbers and other signs in the board

PHOBIA SERIES - EXTRA INFO

Image
Hey guys! Before we find our next fear, I thought of making this blog to make you aware of few things. Let’s get going!   Why being fearless sometimes helps?   Well, this is a good question. Being fearless sometime helps as if we were too fearless, we won’t be very cautious of the dangers lurking besides us. Let’s say if a person is very fearless of dark and he is walking into a dark cave, he won’t be cautious about his surroundings. If there was a big hole front of him, the person would casually walk into the hole and fall to death. If you were fearful of dark, you would be very cautious and would react to the tiniest of sounds. This would help the fearful to survive and fearless to die.   2. Why we are afraid of few things from birth?   Well, this is a very important question. For this answer, we need to go to thousands of years ago, where humans were hunter-gatherers. At that time, we need to know that our ancestors lived in deep jungles, where they encountered several types of an

PHOBIA SERIES - BACTERIA

Image
Bacteria:   Why are we afraid of them? Bacteria. Urg! Those tiny creatures which are of about 1nm in diameter and is impossible to see them in naked eyes. But they can see us! These ugly and nasty living things can enter our bodies and feed upon our immunity. Do you think that you house is spotless? Think again. An average house has 150 bacteria per inch on light switches, 200 on a fairly large sized telephones and about 1.5 million bacteria in toilets. You can’t escape, you can’t cheat but you can only wait till once of those enter your body. This makes me think whether Earth is the best planet for all us to live.....   Scientific facts and ways not to be Bacteriophobic: Woah woah! Calm down! Bacteria is tiny. Agreed. There are trillions and trillions of bacteria around Earth. Agreed. But do you know that there are millions of bacteria inside and outside your body right this minute? Yeah. You heard me right. Millions of bacteria are present inside and outside your body. Before you pan

PHOBIA SERIES - SNAKES

Image
Why are we afraid of them? Snakes. Yikes! Those slithering creatures just lurve to choke you down. That is not it all. Some snakes have really really dangerous poison which can kill you with just a prick. Have you heard of spitting cobras? Those killers don’t have to be close to take you down. They ‘spit’ poison from their mouths and they never miss their target. The fact which fears us the most that most of the snakes live in India. Run for your lives!   Scientific facts and ways not to be Ophidiophobia: Before we jump to the scientific facts about snakes, we need to understand why are we fearful. Fear is an emotion which occurs when we recall our bad moments. For example- If a person just had a experience of drowning, then the very next day the person would be really afraid of water. But after some time, the person forgets about the incident and starts swimming again. But it is not so easy for some people. They don’t forget incidents for months or even years and hence their fear of

PHOBIA SERIES - SHARKS.

Image
Why are we afraid of them? Sharks. They are very interesting water-living animals. They have very good eyesight and sense of smell. Anyway, they don’t need any of them to catch their prey. They can also sense electricity, for instance, a beating heart. Some say that they swallow their prey whole! What would you do in the shark’s stomach? Cut your way out? Nah, sharks are way intelligent for that. Oh no! Shark is out there waiting for you! Run for your lives!   Scientific Facts: Sharks are intelligent. Agreed. But you know one thing. Shark attacks are so rare that only 1 unfortunate person gets killed every year. Yeah just one. And that too these attacks occur when sharks mistake humans as seals. Seals are like chocolates to sharks. When they sense someone paddling, they think that it is a Seal and.... you know the rest. After hearing this, you might be like- ‘Woah just one. That is just great!’ in a sarcastic way but if you see the actual figures of people dying from Heart attack, yo
